There are times when you can trust a horse, times when you can't, and times when you have to.

Our Horses, Our Guides, and Our Volunteers are the ROCK of our success. Without them our mission would not be a success. We are blessed with a team of ANGELS and Thankful for their hard work and dedication.

Our Equine Staff

Liberty is a Quarter Horse Mare that is Dapple Grey. Liberty was purchased with a few other horses when the ranch changed ownership. Liberty is approximately 16 years old and is currently one of our alpha mares. She loves to head the trail rides but only if her boyfriend CJ comes with her. Look for Liberty, she'll be the one sneaking a snack!

LIKES: Any and ALL Kinds of Food  Dislikes: Other Mares

Frank and Beans are our Brothers.  We originally went to purchase only Frank and his previous owners mentioned that him and his brother had never been separated. So after much thought we decided to bring both boys home with us and vowed to never separate the two. Franck and Beans are Quarter Horses. Frank is a Blue Roan and 25 years old  and Beans is a Bay and 24 years old.

Likes: Carrots and Apples  Dislikes: Fly Spray

The horse on the left is Mr. Blue and he has recently gone to a retirement home.  The horse on the right is Ladybird.  She is a 22 year old Belgian Mare who we purchased from a breeding farm in Southern Il.  Ladybird is so big she had to be delivered to our facility because we didn't have a trailer large enough to pick her up with. She is a VERY docile and gentle ride.

Likes: The Short Distance Trail Rides  Dislikes: Other Girls that try to take her food

Miracle joined our family by default four years ago.  She was brought to our facility as part of our Boarding Services and one day her owner just never came back.  So we took he in with open arms as a 6 year old UNBROKEN paint mare.  Now she has molded into our program nicely.

Likes: Baths  Dislikes: Other Mares other than Abi

This is Abi our rescue pony. We purchased her at an auction and it wasn't until we got her home that we realized she has been sedated. After MUCH TLC Abi fits in nicely to our program. She is no longer afraid of humans but in her eyes she "tolerates" us. She is the pick for most of our young riders for her size and gentle trail manners.  Abi is a huge part of our 4H program and has been successfully shown for the past 6 years. Abi is a Bay Quater Pony and is 17 years old.

Likes: Horse Shows, Miracle and Trail Rides  Dislikes: Mean People

This is Stormy, a 6 year old Miniature Horse. She is Miracles sister..not by blood obviously. :) We acquired Stormy the same way we got Miracle and from the same owner. Stormy is full grown and not afraid of any of the bigger horses. She can hold her own. We use Stormy for our school and therapy groups.

Likes: GRASS and Wendy Dislikes: BATHS and tangles

This is Kash. He is a 13 year old American Paint Horse. He was purchased in Southern Il and is a favorite by our trail riders mostly because of his Palomino color. He is ridden mostly by one of our guides, Melissa, who spoils him regularly.

LIKES: Treats and Trail Rides  Dislikes: Itch Weed and Jumping

This is Shadow. She is a 14 year old Blue Roan Appaloosa Mare.  She was purchased in Tennessee where she was used as a family trail horse.  She is most commonly recognized as the horse with no tail and the beautiful color.  It is a characteristic of this breed to have very thin hair and Shadow definitely fits the bill.

Likes: Her Friends Precious and Anna  Dislikes: ANY KIND OF BUGS!

This is Anna a 16 year old Tennessee Walking horse mare.  She was purchased from the same family in Tennessee that Shadow came from.  Anna was actually a rescue as she was found by the animal control wandering loose.  She was brought to our facility in foal and she gave birth to a beautiful jet black filly.  Anna is today a pick for our trail riders due to her comfortable ride. Anna is ridden and spoiled by one of our most valued customers Wendy Wedekind. The two are quite the pair.

Likes: Riders with Gentle Hands and Wendy  Dislikes: Being left behind

This is Chico. He is our Ladies Man is quite a favorite among our other female horses.  Chico is also a favorite among our trail riders for his VERY laid back personality. Chico is a 19 year old Appaloosa Gelding and he is guaranteed to win your heart.  Just look for the horse with the mo-hawk!

Likes: Everything and Everyone  Dislikes: Nothing and no one

Of Course We can't forget "Flash Gordon". We just call him Gordon.  This is Stormy's boyfriend, you hardly see one without the other. He was donated to our facility and has definitely earned his keep. He is a 24 year old Shetland pony who currently just keeps Stormy busy.

Likes: Running in the Grass and Pedicures  Dislikes: When Stormy leaves him

MANY MORE TO COME SO KEEP CHECKING BACK!
