NEW FOR 2011
“The
Ultimate Trail Riding Experience”
We will be offering for the
first time during our 2011 trail riding season a Gaited Horse Trail Ride.
This trail ride will be offered for those guests of ours who are 16 years or
older and have some horse riding experience. Our gaited horse
experience will be a smaller intimate trail ride offered with gaited only
horses. For those who have never ridden a gaited horse, you are in for
a real treat. Gaited horses are said to be the most comfortable horse
to ride due to their smooth gait. A gaited horse does not trot they
more or less shuffle. Gaited horse naturally walk fast and when they
“gait” there is NO bouncing for the rider. We will be offering a 3.3 mile
ride on these gaited horse which will last approximately 1 hour. The
cost will be $35 per rider. If you are interested in booking this
experience you must mention “the gaited horse experience”
when making your reservation. Due to the fast pace of this ride, this
experience is not suitable for children.
**The
2.3 Mile
trail ride,
formerly know as the 1 Hour Guided Trail Ride, $22 for an approximate
hour
**The
3.3 Mile
trail ride,
formerly know as the
1
and ˝ hour Guided Trail Ride, $30 for an approximate hour and a half
**The
5.8 Mile
trail ride,
formerly know as the 2 Hour Guided
Trail Ride, $40 for an approximate
two hours
And No the Two Hour doesn't go around the One Hour trail Twice. We take you
farther into the park on a different trail.
NEW TRAIL OPTION:
This used to be called our ADVANCED Trail Ride. Our standard 2.3 mile,
3.3 mile,
and 5.8 mile
trails will now be offered with the “quick pace” option. For an additional
$4 per person we will guarantee that you will be able to pick up the pace, trot.
This option was only offered on our standard 3 mile
trail in the past but is now available for all our rides. When booking
your reservation please mention you would like to make your ride “quick pace”.
**Why the Change in wording? Our trail
times are approximate. Depending on the pace the horses set, the obstacles
that come up while riding, and mother nature, our trail times fluxuate.
PLEASE... WHEN MAKING YOUR RESERVATION YOU MUST
INDICATE WHICH RIDE YOU ARE INTERESTED IN. IF NO INDICATIONS ARE MADE WE
WILL ASSUME YOU WISH TO HAVE THE STANDARD 2.3 mile RIDE.

SAFETY is NUMBER ONE at the Rockin'P Ranch! Even though we have
AWESOME guides who are there for your safety (and to make sure you have a
good time!), we also give riders "safety tips" verbally and in writing
before each ride.
Helmets are available at no charge.

RESTRICTIONS
We do have restrictions. Please go to the
Restrictions page.
Cancellation or Changes - It is EXTREMELY important that you
call us as soon as you know you need to cancel OR if you know you will
have less riders than you reserved. If you do not call us, we could
be turning persons away unnecessarily. We do have the option of
charging a "no show" fee but that is NOT our preference.
HORSE
CARE OVERVIEW
(Minimum 5 persons: Lasts 30-40 minutes) This is very
popular. It's a great opportunity for young persons such as Girl
Scouts, Boy Scouts, Schools, Churches, and other Youth Organizations to
learn more about horses . An employee or volunteer will educate them
on basic horse care and horse handling. Topics include feeding,
grooming, saddling, mounting, how to use reins and stirrups, etc.
There's also some optional "hands on" (kids love to help groom). Of
course our staff's "assistant" is a horse! Additionally, for Girl
Scouts, it will help you earn a badge. Reservations are required and
could be limited due to staff availability. Cost is $5 per person or $3
per person if you are also trail riding the same day!
Custom Group Packages (for ALL ages!) are
Available (Min. 5 persons)
We can arrange an outing that would include something for everyone!
Choose from Pony-on-Lead (for our young Buck-a-Roos) and/or Hayrack
Ride and/or Horse Care Overview and/or Trail Ride (must be age 8 or
older). Have a snack or
lunch/dinner in the Pavilion! How about a Weiner Roast? Let us help
you plan a memorable field trip/outing for your group. Call for more
details and costs.
